League Rules

Captains are responsible for the following:

  • Communication of your club's local guidelines to the visiting teams.
  • Communicating these guidelines to your players when you are the visitor.
  • Entering your lineup on the spreadsheet and communicating changes with the host Captain.
  • Home captain submits the results with the names of each player and score from each match immediately after completion.
  • Educate your players on pace of play and remind them this is a gentleman’s game.
  • Booking and communicating rescheduled games with visiting captain. Please notify the Commissioner as well.

1. Format: 2 Man better ball (Match Play)

2. Rescheduling matches:

  • Games are only rescheduled in the event of course unavailability or closure of course for duration of day due to unplayable conditions.
  • Games must be rescheduled the next weekday the course is available. Breach of this rule will result in loss of points.
  • If host club would like to play the match on a date prior to the scheduled date or even a weekend they must have approval from the visiting team.

3. In match play, the player with honor is probably most important on the Tee and green. However, in the essence of faster play please consider ignoring this rule from the fairway.

MB Juniors:

  1. Any Junior not invited to the Junior team development camps can play for their host club. All other juniors on protected list or ones who have declined invitation to Golf MB development camps are not eligible to play Mundie Putter.
  2. Any protected player may play for their home club in a week they are not rostered for the MB Jr. squad. Note: they cannot play twice in a week.
  3. No juniors can play for their club in the playoffs.

Suggestions:

Juniors are learning so please take this into consideration on your rulings. We will at times let things go and address it with them after the round. Golf needs to grow so we do not need to embarrass and drive younger players away from the game. Finally, many of them look up to you so please be mindful of your actions in front of them.

Pace of Play

This has been an ongoing issue that has threatened the viability of Mundie Putter.

Players must keep up to the group in front as best as they can and at no time can they hold up members of the club unless they are being help up themselves. The League will not lenient on this issue.

Consequences of Violations:

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, which may include warnings, suspensions, or disqualification from current and future events, depending on the severity of the offense.
